Pastors and Churches

Registration is FREE and easy at Bahama Classifieds. When you register, we ask for some basic contact information (like address, email, and phone number, etc..). We do not share this information with anyone (read our Privacy Policy) , and we don't spam! However, you do need to register to POST CLASSIFIEDS.

Take a quick look at the benefits of registration:

• Post ad in any category.
• Receive notifications by email when a classified is posted in your favorite areas
• Select your theme (applied when you login)
• Select the number of classifieds you wish to see per page. (applied when you login).

Changing/Updating Account Information

Most of the information you have entered during the registration process can be updated from your account page. Simply Login with your username and password at bahamaclassifieds.com and click on Edit Account. You will be directed to 'Edit your Account' page.

Forgot your password?

We can email your password only to the email address you registered with. To request a password via email, go to home page of BahamaClassifieds.com, Click on Forgot Password link. The next screen at the top says "Submit your email to retrieve lost username/password". Please enter your email address that you used at the time of registration/sign up with bahamaclassifieds.com. Click "Submit" and your password will be e-mailed to your email address.

View your account information

All of the information about your ads, your account, etc., is available on Edit Your Account page. Click Edit Account, you will be directed to Edit Your Account page.

You can edit any information by selecting any of the following links:

• Change Password
• Edit Contact Information
• Edit My Categories
• Edit Posted Ads.
• Edit your color theme

Each link will direct you to its respective area. You can Edit Password, contact information, your preferences for the categories, edit/delete Posted Ads and your Classified Alerts Request (notifications if new ads show up that you might be interested in seeing) and remit payment for expired ads.

Receive Updates

By virtue of the Terms and Conditions we will send you bi-weekly updates about site enhancements and updates. Also, you can receive emails about any new ad posted if you selected your favorite categories and opted to receive email notification about these newly posted ads.
However, if you wish to unsubsribe to our mailing list, please use the feedback form.
Also, if you wish to discontinue receiving new classified posts, please login, go to 'Edit Account' link and uncheck the 'send me notification' box.

PLACING YOUR INFORMATION

If you are not a current member then you can become one by clicking New User link on any page of Bahama Classifieds.com. Refer to Sign Up for BahamaClassifieds.com for more information.

If you have not already logged in, you have to log in now.

Placing a Classified Ad

To place an ad, click and fill the form to submit your ad. When placing an ad, you will perform the following steps:

• Choose a category for the ad. All ads must reside in a specific category.
• Choose a Sub-category for the ad.
• Enter Classified Title.
• Enter your Classified ad contents.
• Upload a picture for your ad.
• Enter a correct email address for contact

It is advised that you place your classified early in the day with BahamaClassifieds.com to take advantage of the graphic where visitors are likely to visit.

Your Classified Ad content

The total number of words you can use for content is 20 for a FREE ad and 30 for a PAID Ad. Any extra words will be billed at 5 ¢ a word.
With both types of ads Free and Paid, you can post ONE IMAGE.
Any extra images will be billed at $5 per image and you can post upto 4 (four) images per ad.
Please Note: The criterion to seperate words is a single space. So, to make sure your classified is posted with appropriate text, choose your words wisely and conservatively.
A typical ad contains the following parts:

• Location: Geographical location, includes place where the service/product is available.
• Content: Main features of the service/product.
• Contact Email Address: This address is where prospective clients will forward messages.
• Contact Phone Number: Working (9-6) Phone Number, it can be your Office/Home phone number.
• Price: For classified ads you can set a price value, if it's appropriate. For auctions same rule applies. Interested Individual/Business will contact you either on your Contact Email address or Contact Number.
• Image resource: This service is for those who want to display a photo of the product/service advertised on Bahama Classifieds.com(for e.g. Photo of the apartment available for rent or automobile photo which is for sale). It is easy to add photos to a classified. Click 'Select file' button to select the file.
• Size Specifications for Image Resource: You can upload an image (of less than 300kb) in gif, jpeg or png format We can only accept one picture per ad, but you can change them at any time.
• Date Posted:The day you posted the classified. This is displayed automatically and is non-editable. This date will be used to set the expiration date.

Submit your ad by clicking on the Submit button at the bottom of the page. Your ad will be displayed as soon as the Mode of Payment is confirmed from you. If you qualify for a FREE AD, you will not be prompted for any payment.

Caution: We screen ALL classifieds. Any of the following can be considered fraudulent classified placement practice and the user is permanently removed from our database and registration process!

• Multiple user accounts: If the same classified is found to be extended with a new user name or different ads are posted by same person with multiple user accounts.
• Inappropriate Content: BahamaClassifeds.com may be used by users from many backgrounds, so we like to keep the content reasonable. What we mean by this is that you post nothing illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise objectionable. If we find something that is inappropriate, we reserve the right to edit, reject or reclassify advertisements in our sole discretion, without notice. Please view our Terms of Service for a very detailed account of what is not acceptable on BahamaClassifieds.com.

Free Classified Ad

When you place Classified ads on BahamaClassifieds.com, you have the opportunity to place your ads absolutely free of cost!

Featured Listings

Feature Listings appear at the all important "Home page", when a visitor browses the site. They can be read 10 times as often as non-feature ads. Certainly they are displayed to the visitor more often since they occupy the top portion of the page. Your ad will also appear in the normal ad listings. Featured ad posting is also available at other pages like registration confirmation pages and Search page.

How much will the ad cost?

We have a base fee for posting classified ad on Bahama Classifieds which is $15 for a fortnight, much cheaper than a regular paper ad and it's do-it-yourself with pictures and more. Featured Listings will have additional fees about $30. All prices are displayed during the ad posting process. You can make a payment for ad fees from your account page or you can use any other forms of payment. Refer to our Price Statement for further details.
Please Note: We retain the right to revise the prices at any time without prior notice.

How to renew a Classified Ad?

When your ad expires, the ad will not appear on any page of bahamaclassifieds.com. To keep the ad active it is your responsibility to check when the ad expires and remit payments. The easiest way to renew is by checking your account page. You will receive notice a few days before the ad expires, and you can go to Edit Account page and then to "Edit Posted Ads" area to renew your Ad.

How to Edit a Classified Ad?

If you have an active ad, simply log-on and Click Edit Account link, then click 'Edit Posted Ads'. Click "Edit" link next to the ad you want to Change. No charges are applicable to any additions to Active Ads as long as the set limits are satisfied. However, if you have posted a paid ad, text or images you add will be billable and NO refunds is available if you delete text or images.

A quicker way to to click the Ad Title Link under "My Ads" Category to your left when you login.

How to Delete a Classified Ad?

If you have an active ad, simply log-on and Click Edit Account link, then click 'Edit Posted Ads'. Click "Delete" link next to the ad you want to remove. No refund or credit is provided for a paid ad that is deleted before it's natural expiration.

A quicker way to to click the Ad Title Link under "My Ads" Category to your left.

Making a payment

You can make a payment for an amount due from your Account page. Bahama Classifieds accepts credit cards, checks, or money orders. To pay by credit card using our secure server, go to Edit Account page and click on the 'Edit Posted Ads' Area. If you have an amount due there will be a payment button next to the classified title. Click this to remit payments in the mode you choose. Refer to our Pricing for further details.

VIEWING INFORMATION/CLASSIFIEDS

Sort Classifieds by Alphabet/Category/Date Posted/Island

Viewing Classifieds by sorting them with different options allows you to browse classifieds with that specific option more efficiently and usefully. This is particularly helpful when you want to look all the classifieds starting with a particular alphabet or under same Island or the one which are recently posted. Some useful sort options are discussed below.

• To View Ads that have photographs or pictures, Select Sort By: Ads by Photos
• To View Latest Ads: Sort By: Date Descending -- Selected for you by default.
• To View Oldest Ads, Select Sort By: Date Ascending

Contacting the Classified Ad owner

While browsing the listed classifieds, you can note down the Email Address/Phone Number of the ad owner. On clicking the Email link you will be directed to your emailing program (Outlook Express, Hotmail etc..), you can send a message to the ad owner. This will allow the ad owner to reply directly to you.

Viewing Latest Classifieds

While browsing the listed classifieds, you would want to know which classifieds are posted today. You can do this quickly by looking for the icon. (This new icon is displayed for every classified posted in a day until midnight.)
Alternatively, you can select sort by "Ads By Date Descending". (Selected by default when you visit a page). This will show all the latest ads.

Viewing Bible

Now you can read Holy Bible online!!. Click the 'View Chapter' link which appears on left handside of every page under "Today's Verse".

You can even Search The Whole Bible by Keywords like:

• Any Words in Begining
• Full Words Only
• Words Anywhere
• Phrase in Begining
• Phrase Anywhere
• Exact Phrase

Just enter a Keyword in the search box and click Submit.

Advanced Search

You can use the search box in the ad listings, or the search page to perform a search over all ads. Click on Advanced Search link to view the search criteria form page. When you are satisfied with the results of a search, or you can click reset and search again.

A basic search works by matching ANY word from your search phrase against the contents of all ads. If you enter a long phrase, like "looking for a Ford Mustang", you will get many matches from many ads that you are not interested in. For example, you would match an ad with the word "Ford" in it. Short and specific phrases work best. On the search page you can also select that you want EVERY word in your search phrase to match. A search for "Ford Mustang" with the EVERY option would require that all 2 words appear in the ad.

To register and add yourself to the directory, please follow these steps:
While registering, please remember to:

• Select "Religious Organizations" as your Business Category.

After completion of registration process, please login with you user name and password and click "Edit Account". You will see the link "Edit Church Info".
On clicking this you will be taken to the area where you can manage your church account.

• If you just signed up, you will be shown the link "Post Church Information". You can post your church information into the above categories by clicking this link and see your information appear online instantly.
• Caution: Please remember that as a non-subscriber, you cannot edit information once you post. So, we request that you double-check your information before you proceed to post it.
• If you have posted church information and have not subscribed yet, you will see the link "Activate Church Profile Subscription". Click this to activate your subscription by paying online.
• If you have posted church information and have subscribed, you will see the link "Edit Church Info". Click this link to navigate to the page where you can edit information, Add/Update Photo Gallery, Add/Update Event Calendar.

You can Update the upcoming Events and add Photos to your Photo Gallery with a small subscription fee charged on a monthly basis. Please refer Pricing for more information.

You can access the Bahamian Churches and Pastors Directory by clicking the 'Pastors and Churches' link which appears on left handside of every page under "Today's Verse".

With Quick Search in Bahamaclassifieds.com you can now search for any text in the following areas of the database.

Just enter some possible text in the context of classifieds and click Submit.
Links for the typical areas will be displayed so you can navigate to those areas.
Please Note: Make sure you enter atleast 3 (three) letters! Less than 3 letters are highly non-specific and search will not be done.
